Recorded Delivery required on all Royal Mail order dispatches

Following some parcels going missing in the post I have been advised by Royal Mail that all orders should be sent via Recorded Delivery during the Christmas period. I have always sent post out with a certificate of postage but this does not give any way of tracking the location of anything that does not arrive and then you have to wait for the parcel to be undelivered for up to 21 days before Royal Mail will class it as missing and do something.

I am therefore having to cancel any 2nd class delivery options and all first class post will have an extra 50p added to its cost, to cover the Recorded Delivery. I will cover the rest of the Recorded Delivery cost here in order to share this extra expense.
